Vol. 28 Theme: Creation
What does it mean to create—to make, to build, to dream, to invent, to generate, to be human? You can interpret this theme literally or figuratively and as broadly as you’d like.
Limits
Fiction: up to 1,500 words, 12-point font, double-spaced
Creative Nonfiction: up to 1,500 words, 12-point font, double-spaced
Poetry: up to 3 poems, any length, 12-point font, each new poem beginning on a new page
Visual Art: up to 3 pieces of original photography, painting, or illustration
All submissions must be previously unpublished.
No bigotry, no graphic content, no AI-assisted work.
How to Submit
Please email your submission as a single PDF or Word file attachment to sandhillreview@gmail.com. (Visual art can be as a JPEG or PNG.)
Include your name and page number on each page.
Label your email subject line: Your Name, Genre (i.e. Anne Barngrover, Creative Nonfiction).
In the body of your email, include a brief bio to let us know who you are (and feel free to say hello!). Let us know your connection to Florida and/or Saint Leo University.
You may submit in multiple genres, but please do so in separate emails.
Simultaneous submissions are fine, but if you are accepted elsewhere and need to withdraw a submission or part of a submission, please email us ASAP.
